Infor SunSystems Cloud April 2026 Update and Roadmap

What's new, what's coming, and why the commercial momentum matters

Twice a year, Infor releases new functionality into Infor SunSystems Cloud. April and October are the two fixed release windows and for organisations running the cloud platform, these drops happen automatically, with no upgrades to manage and no additional cost.

At AcQuum's April 2026 client briefing, Director Leon Bourke walked through the latest release and shared what Infor has in the pipeline for October and beyond. Here's a full summary.

The commercial picture

Before diving into the product, it's worth noting where Infor SunSystems Cloud sits commercially.

The platform recorded 40% SaaS growth in 2025 a significant number that reflects two things:

  • The broader market shift to cloud financials, and the establishment of an APAC-based tenant hosted in Australia, which has made the platform more accessible and time-zone-friendly for ANZ customers.

  • The global cloud customer base now stands at over 450, with 34% of those customers in APAC. Notably, 42% are net new to the Infor SunSystems product and have chosen Infor SunSystems for the first time, rather than migrating from on-premise. That level of new customer acquisition is a healthy signal for the longevity and investment trajectory of the platform.

Infor's stated priorities for the Infor SunSystems business unit are clear:

  • SaaS growth is the primary focus, and all new product functionality is cloud-first. For on-premise customers, Infor SunSystems 6.4 will continue to receive critical bug fixes and security updates for the foreseeable future but the innovation is happening in the cloud.

April 2026 release: what's new

Dashboards accounts payable and purchasing

Infor has been systematically building out a native dashboard layer in Infor SunSystems Cloud, responding to demand for at-a-glance financial visibility alongside Q&A's deeper analytical capabilities.

The AP and purchasing dashboard rollout has progressed in stages: aged payables and top five supplier dashboards in October 2025; average invoice processing time and days payable outstanding in January 2026. The April release adds two more:

  • Invoice Status Tracker For organisations using Infor SunSystems purchase invoicing, this dashboard provides a real-time view of approved versus non-approved invoices, with drill-through directly into the underlying transactions in Infor SunSystems.

  • To-Be-Invoiced Purchase Order Lines Shows purchase order lines where goods or services have been received but invoicing is not yet complete. Useful for cashflow visibility and anticipating upcoming payment requirements. Requires the Infor SunSystems purchasing module.

Scheduled PDF exports from Q&A

This is one of the more practically useful additions in the April release. Organisations can now schedule Q&A reports to run automatically and export as PDFs without manual intervention.

The use cases are straightforward but valuable: schedule an aged creditor report to run overnight on the first of each month, ready for the finance team in the morning. Set month-end reports to generate automatically. Monitor ledger imports by scheduling Q&A reports across the import table any failures or exceptions visible without logging in to check.

For sales and debtor management, scheduled overnight debtor reports mean account managers can start the day with current outstanding debt visibility, without depending on the finance team to run and distribute reports manually.

E-invoicing and Peppol network compliance

E-invoicing the electronic exchange of invoice data directly between buyer and supplier systems is already mandatory in Europe and moving in that direction across other markets including ANZ. Until now, Infor SunSystems has relied on third-party solutions for e-invoicing capability. With the April release, Infor has brought this in-house.

If e-invoicing compliance is on your radar whether driven by regulatory requirements, government procurement mandates, or operational efficiency goals this is worth a conversation. Get in touch with the AcQuum team to understand what's available and what's required.

API improvements

API capability is an ongoing development focus for Infor. SunSystems Cloud is positioned as the financial core of a broader technology stack integrating with industry-specific platforms in hospitality, financial services, utilities, and other sectors. The April release continues to expand and improve the API layer, making those integrations more capable and easier to maintain.

October 2026 preview

More dashboards, receivables and CFO-level

The dashboard programme shifts focus in October from accounts payable and purchasing to the receivables side of the business. Age receivables dashboards are planned, along with CFO-level dashboards offering a higher-level financial performance view. For finance leaders who want quick visibility without running full Q&A reports, this is a meaningful step.

Q&A Macro Builder returns

Q&A Macro Builder which allowed users to chain multiple Q&A actions together, typically in conjunction with Excel was available in Q&A 10 and has been absent from subsequent versions. It's returning in the October release. For power users who built workflows around the macro capability, this is welcome news.

Q&A workbooks into Document Management

From October, users will be able to save Q&A workbooks directly and automatically into Infor Document Management, linked to the associated journal key or journal number.

The practical application: when a ledger import journal is posted via Q&A Data Send, the system automatically captures the journal key and stores it alongside the Q&A workbook. From any account inquiry in SunSystems, you'll be able to navigate directly to the source workbook and its supporting working papers.

This matters for audit readiness and for reducing reliance on manual Excel filing systems. Journal workbooks, supporting calculations, and working papers stored against the transaction accessible without hunting through shared drives.

AI in SunSystems Cloud

Infor is investing in AI capability within the Infor SunSystems suite. The approach is to embed AI with context built into the product, rather than a standalone add-on. Early use cases identified by Infor include reporting and inquiry assistance, and reconciliation support.

Infor plan to offer both native generative AI tools within the suite and API access, allowing organisations to connect their own AI technologies to Infor SunSystems data. This is a developing area worth watching, and worth asking about if AI-driven finance workflows are on your agenda.

Staying current on SunSystems Cloud

AcQuum runs update briefings ahead of each Infor release. The next session will be in late September or October ahead of the October 2026 release. If you'd like to be notified, make sure you're on our list.
